Camp Charity
Camp Charity is a unique experiential learning environment designed to teach children about charitable giving. This three-hour camp is open to children ages 8 through 13 and their parents or grandparents. The session typically takes place on a Saturday and includes inspiring stories by philanthropic teens plus tools for evaluating nonprofit organizations. At the end of the session, each child will receive a Giving Card to designate to the nonprofit of their choice.
Teen Giving Institute
Teens with an interest in charitable giving should check out our Teen Giving Institute. Participants visit and do hands-on volunteer work at nonprofit organizations, make grants to
organizations that they choose and enhance their leadership skills.
The Teen Giving Institute meets one Sunday a month from 2 to 4:30 p.m. between September and April. The program is open to students enrolled in grades nine through 12 who are the children or grandchildren of donors with the Community Foundation. Class size is limited to 25 students.

Giving Cards
Looking for a way to teach children about the importance of giving back? Give a Giving Card! Much like retail gift cards,
Giving Cards are given to celebrate birthdays, holidays, a job well done or other special occasions, but they are redeemed to benefit any 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States (including schools, churches and synagogues). It's a wonderful opportunity for a child to learn about different charities and decide where to give the money. Giving Cards are available in denominations of $25, $50 and $100. You may also purchase $10 Giving Cards (by special order only) created just for children's birthday parties.
Purchase or redeem a Giving Card.
Charitable Birthday Parties
You and your child can host a birthday party that makes a difference in five easy steps! Simply choose a theme or cause to support, plan activities around that theme, ask guests for donations, find a nonprofit that will accept those donations and purchase Giving Cards as party favors.
