Community Health Fund
Application deadline: All applications should be received by the 15th of the following month from the original requested effective month noted on the application.
The Community Health Fund was established in January 2006, and is funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and other local supporters. Its mission is to provide subsidies for those most in need of further financial assistance with member out-of-pocket healthcare expenses within a calendar year.

Eastland Giving Circle

One organization will be awarded a grant through an annual application process that has an eastern Jackson County presence and mailing address. The Eastland Giving Circle is a group of philanthropic and civic-minded individuals dedicated to making an impact to the well being of the eastern Jackson County area.

Heartland Utilities For Energy Efficiency Fund
Application deadline: October 30
Organized in 2002, Heartland Utilities for Energy Efficiency Fund (HUEE) represents electric and gas utilities in the Kansas City region. Its purpose is to promote energy efficiency through energy education, resources and actions to help assure a secure energy future for area residents. This grant program aims to support education activities that spur the widespread adoption of energy efficiency measures in the residential sector.
Liberty Giving Circle
Application deadline: September 15, 2010
Grants will be made only to organizations that have a Liberty mailing address and serve the Liberty community. The Liberty Giving Circle is a group of philanthropic and civic-minded women dedicated to making a substantive impact to the well-being of the citizens of the Liberty area.

Martha Lee Cain Tranby Music Enrichment Funds for both Arts Organizations and Individuals
Since 1991, the Martha Lee Cain Tranby Music Enrichment Fund has provided grants for the production or presentation of music performances, including the promotion of music education, composition, performance, and other musicians’ endeavors by individuals, groups or institutions. Through those grants, the Martha Lee Cain Tranby Music Enrichment Fund has provided over 120 grants and scholarships totaling more than $200,000. Due to the ongoing effects of market conditions, the Martha Lee Cain Tranby Music Enrichment Fund will not be in a position to award grants in 2010. The Trustees of the fund believe that this temporary suspension of grant activities is necessary to ensure the sustainability of the fund in keeping with the wishes of Martha Lee Cain Tranby.

Northland Giving Circle

Northland Giving Circle (NGC) is a group of philanthropic and civic-minded individuals dedicated to making a significant impact to the well-being of Platte and Clay counties through a yearly donation. NGC will award a grant to one organization through the annual application process.

The Mutual Fund Store Foundation

Adam Bold, founder of The Mutual Fund Store, believes philanthropy has the power to effect and achieve positive change. From this bedrock belief, he established The Mutual Fund Store Foundation with the mission to help build and sustain healthy and thriving communities that advance self-reliance and productivity.
