DAVID G. SMITH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Description
The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide one scholarship to a graduating high school boy or girl senior with the honor for those who most exemplified the characteristics of a contributing team player in high school basketball from each of the following school districts:
Harrisburg R-VIII, Harrisburg MO
Kirksville RIII School District, Kirksville, MO
Newton Community School District, Newton, IA
Sedalia School District #200, Sedalia MO
Harrisonville Cass R-IX, Harrisonville, MO,
Excelsior Springs Schools #40, Excelsior Springs, MO,
Center School District in Kansas City, MO,
Easton USD 449, Easton KS
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following:
Student must have participated in basketball for 2 or more years during high school.
Student must have demonstrated the characteristics of a team contributor to their high school basketball team.
Student must plan on attending a two or four year college, university or technical training school.
Student must have achieved an overall 3.0 grade point average.
Students must demonstrate financial need.
Amount
One time scholarship award of $300.00.
Deadline
April 30th.
