Gordon M. Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund
Description
The Fund is established in memory of our son, Gordon Matthew Robinson, who was a graduate of Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, a computer science major and member of Theta Xi-Alpha Psi chapter at Missouri University of Science and Technology when he tragically passed away in a car accident on his way home for Thanksgiving in 2009.
Eligibility
The students eligible for assistance shall be:
- Missouri residents;
- No older than twenty-one (21) years old when they apply;
- Enrolled in or planning to enroll full time in a public four-year college or university in Missouri;
- Major in computer science;
- Demonstrate financial need.
Preference will initially be given to graduating seniors and graduates from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, and to students attending Missouri University of Science and Technology, although scholarships may be awarded to students at other schools in the discretion of the Advisory Committee and the Community Foundation.
Amount
Minimum of $1,000 annually to be paid in two equal installments for up to four years. Student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 to qualify for subsequent semester renewals.
