Greater Lee's Summit Health Care Foundation Academic Scholarship
Description
The Greater Lee's Summit Health Care Foundation plans to award up to three scholarships in amounts up to a maximum of $5,000.00 to support academic studies leading to a career in a medical or health care discipline. Examples include, but are not limited to, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology technology, and so on.
Eligibility
To be eligible for these scholarships, the applicant must meet the following criteria: Must either live in Lee's Summit currently, or have graduated from an area high school, including Blue Springs High School, if hte student's residence was Lee's Summit at the time of graduation. Must have completed at least one year of studies in their chosen health care field of study. For example, an applicant must have completed at least one year of nursing school. A medical student must have completed his or her undergraduate degree and be accepted to a medical school to be eligible. Must have at least a 3.0 gpa on a 4.0 scale.
