Betty Charlton Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in memory of Betty Charlton by the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce to provide scholarships for education to students who attend the Shawnee Mission School District or the DeSoto School District (USD #232), or who reside in the City of Shawnee and attend a parochial or other school, and who meet the criteria below.
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following: ·
The eligible students for assistance shall be graduating seniors intending to continue their education through a two or four year college and/or technical school. Consideration will be given to the student's work, school activity and community service records.
Student must continue to attend classes and keep a 3.0 grade point average (or equivalent).
Amount:
$1,500 total, to be paid in one payment prior to the fall semester.
Deadline:
Application must be turned in before 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2012
