David G. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide one scholarship to a graduating high school boy or girl senior with the honor for those who most exemplified the characteristics of a contributing team player in high school basketball from each of the following school districts:
- Harrisburg R-VIII, Harrisburg MO
- Kirksville RIII School District, Kirksville, MO
- Newton Community School District, Newton, IA
- Sedalia School District #200, Sedalia MO
- Harrisonville Cass R-IX, Harrisonville, MO
- Excelsior Springs Schools #40, Excelsior Springs, MO
- Center School District in Kansas City, MO
- Easton USD 449, Easton KS
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following:
- Student must have participated in basketball for 2 or more years during high school.
- Student must have demonstrated the characteristics of a team contributor to their high school basketball team.
- Student must plan on attending a two or four year college, university or technical training school.
- Student must have achieved an overall 3.0 grade point average.
- Students must demonstrate financial need.
Amount:
One time scholarship award of $300.00.
