Opal M. Huffman, a long time resident of Bates County, Missouri, established the Opal M. Huffman Charitable Trust for the purpose of providing scholarships to residents of
Adrian and Butler, Missouri communities and surrounding areas.

Eligibility:
The students eligible for assistance are as follows:
The recipient must be under the age of twenty five.
The recipient must have a high school diploma or GED
Scholarships may be awarded for post secondary education; including but not limited to: universities, colleges, junior colleges and trade/technical schools.
Amount:
$2,500 first semester, renewable for $1,000 per semester
